Business Case

The business case is a one-click PDF that assembles what the platform already knows into the document a funding decision wants. Nothing in it is invented for the document: every number traces to a model elsewhere in the package, and the document says so.

What It Contains

  1. Executive summary: design ID, approval status, scale, compliance posture, open decisions and risks.
  2. Indicative run cost with its drivers, from the cost model.
  3. Value: one-time and recurring value with the per-workstream breakdown and the risk-adjusted band, from the ROI model.
  4. Delivery: the plan's phases, counts, and sizes, including migration-mode provenance and export status when a plan exists (delivery planning).
  5. Top open risks from the risk register.
  6. A deterministic recommendation: proceed or not, listing the concrete blockers (unapproved, open gaps, failing controls) when they exist. No AI writes this section; it is computed, so it cannot be charmed.

Generate It

On the Decisions & Value segment, choose the business case in the export menu. It generates from current state, captures evidence like every export, and lands in the same deliverables list for download.

When to Run It

The business case is strongest right before Review & Approval: gaps decided, risks triaged, ROI inputs tuned. Generated earlier, its recommendation section will faithfully list everything still open, which is also useful, as the punch list.
